The Students of today

In a small classroom in rural India, a group of students sit at their desks, struggling to focus on their lessons. For many of them, the challenges they face at home and in their community make it difficult to concentrate on their studies. Some students come from poor families and lack access to the resources they need to succeed, such as adequate nutrition, clean water, and proper healthcare. Others face discrimination and social stigma because of their gender, religion, or caste.

One student, a young girl named Priya, struggles with depression and anxiety. She finds it hard to engage with her classmates and often feels overwhelmed by the demands of school. Priya’s parents are supportive, but they don’t fully understand her condition and are unable to provide her with the specialized help she needs. As a result, Priya’s grades suffer and she becomes increasingly isolated.

Another student, Ravi, has learning disabilities that make it difficult for him to keep up with his peers. Despite his best efforts, he often falls behind in class and struggles to complete his assignments. Ravi’s teachers are not trained to support students with learning disabilities, and they don’t know how to help him overcome the challenges he faces. As a result, Ravi begins to lose confidence in his ability to learn and starts to believe that he is not as smart as the other kids in his class.

The problems that Priya and Ravi face are not unique. In India, many K-12 students struggle with mental health issues, learning disabilities, and other challenges that can hinder their academic progress. As the country’s population grows and its social and economic conditions change, new problems are emerging that make it even harder for students to succeed in the classroom. In order to address these challenges and help students like Priya and Ravi, it is crucial for educators, parents, and policymakers to work together to create a more inclusive and supportive learning environment.

The root cause of all these issues is that we do not have systems in place to monitor and understand the issues with student and teacher interactions. Parents do not have full knowledge of what happens in schools. BeTutelage solves this by providing end-to-end solutions that make sure students are heard and their feedback is taken into consideration.
