The art of Talking

Once, in a high school classroom, a group of students sat nervously at their desks. They had always felt intimidated by their strict and severe teacher, so they rarely spoke up in class or asked for help.

One day, the teacher noticed that the students seemed distant and disengaged. She decided to try something different and invited them to a small group discussion after class.

To the student’s surprise, the teacher listened attentively to their concerns and thoughts and even offered them some helpful advice. They felt heard and appreciated, making them feel more comfortable speaking up in class.

As the school year went on, the teacher made it a point to have regular open lines of communication with her students. She asked for their feedback, acknowledged their ideas, and made an effort to understand their perspectives.

The students noticed the change in their teacher’s approach and began to feel more confident in their own abilities. They started participating more in class, asking questions and seeking help when needed.

As a result, the classroom became a more positive and collaborative environment. The students’ grades improved, and they formed stronger relationships with their teachers.

Communication is key to building healthy student-teacher relationships. When students feel heard and appreciated, they are more likely to open up and engage in the learning process. And when teachers genuinely maintain open lines of communication, they create a positive and supportive classroom culture that benefits everyone. We at BeTutlage understand this and thus our school management systems help in getting feedback, planning and assigning assignments and even understanding where each and every student’s passion lie.

Let’s together make studies fun and classroom’s an extension of home!
